1. The Club
The Walking Club ("the Club") is run by Calm on the Leash ("we", "us"). Membership is a 12-month pass to everything on the Calm on the Leash site: every guide, in every format (books, audio lessons, video and courses), plus the Club community forum. It includes new guides and other new content released during your year, at no extra charge. By buying a membership or using the Club you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not buy or use the Club.
2. Who can join
You must be at least 18. Membership is for one person and one household. It is personal and cannot be transferred or resold.
3. Price and payment
Membership costs $59, paid once, for 12 months. Payment is handled by Gumroad and the final price, including any taxes, is shown at checkout. It does not renew automatically and we will never charge you again without a new purchase from you. We may invite you to renew before your year ends. Payment terms of the checkout provider also apply.
4. Your entry code
After purchase we email you an entry code. It works on your own devices for 12 months from payment. Keep it private. You are responsible for everything done with your code. If we find a code shared widely or used by others, we may disable it, with or without issuing a new one.
5. Refunds and ending your membership
- You have 14 days from purchase to ask for a full refund, no reasons needed. Use the refund request form on our Terms, refunds and support page, with the email you purchased with or your order ID.
- A refund ends your access to the Club and its content.
- There is nothing to cancel, because nothing renews. Your access ends 12 months after payment.
- After 14 days we do not refund the unused part of the year, except where the law requires it or where we close the Club early (then we refund the unused part).
- These terms do not limit any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.
6. Community rules
- Be kind and respectful. No harassment, hate, threats or personal attacks.
- No spam, advertising or selling. No links to other products or services.
- Do not share private information about yourself or anyone else.
- Do not post anything illegal or that you do not have the right to share.
- Do not encourage punishment-based or harmful treatment of animals.
- Do not post medical details or photos of injuries and ask for a diagnosis. Contact a vet.
7. Moderation
Posts are reviewed before they appear. We may edit, move, hold or remove any post, and may suspend or end a membership for breaking these rules, at our reasonable discretion. We will tell you why where we reasonably can. We are not obliged to monitor or review every post and are not responsible for what members write. If we end a membership for reasons other than a breach by you, we refund the unused part.
8. Your posts
You keep ownership of what you write. You give us a licence to show your posts inside the Club for as long as the forum runs. We will not use your posts outside the Club or in marketing without asking you first. You are responsible for what you post. You can ask us to remove your posts at any time.
9. Not veterinary or professional advice
Everything in the Club, the books and this website is general education and peer experience. It is not veterinary, medical, legal or professional behavior care and it does not replace a visit to a licensed vet or a qualified, in-person behaviorist or trainer. No professional or advisory relationship is created between you and us. Replies from the Calm team are general information based on what you describe, not a diagnosis, assessment or training plan for your dog. Member replies are personal opinions and we do not verify them. If your dog is in pain, unwell, has sudden behavior changes, or is a risk to people or other animals, see a professional straight away. In an emergency, contact an emergency vet.
10. AI dog-training assistant
Parts of the Club or our website may include an AI assistant that answers dog-training questions. By using it you agree to the following. Its answers are produced automatically, are general educational information only, and are not veterinary, medical, behavioral or professional advice, a diagnosis, or a plan made for your dog. They may be incomplete, out of date, inaccurate or unsuited to your dog or situation, and we do not guarantee otherwise. Do not rely on them for safety, medical or emergency decisions, and never delay seeing a vet or qualified professional because of an answer. Your questions may be processed by third-party AI service providers under their own terms. Do not enter personal data, contact details, health or financial information, or anything confidential. We may change, limit or remove the assistant at any time without notice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any answer or for any action or decision based on it.
11. No guarantees, your responsibility and risk
Results vary from dog to dog and depend on the dog's history, health and environment and on how you apply what you learn. We do not promise or guarantee any result, outcome, behavior change, safety, income, savings or satisfaction. You are solely responsible for your dog's handling, control and safety, and for the safety of other people and animals, at all times. Use your own judgment, adapt or skip any exercise, and stop anything that does not feel safe. Dogs can bite, injure and cause damage, whatever training they have had. You use the Club, the books and the advice in them entirely at your own risk and accept all risk of injury, loss or damage that results.
12. Our materials
The books, guides and forum content that we publish are protected by copyright. You may use them for yourself and your household. Do not copy, share, resell, republish or use them to train or feed any AI system.
13. Availability and changes
The Club and the website are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep them available but do not promise they will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that content will always remain available. We may improve, change, suspend or stop features or content at any time. If a change clearly reduces what you paid for, you may ask for a refund of the unused part.
14. No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we give no warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including about accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or that the Club or its content will meet your needs.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and anyone working with us (including owners, contractors, service providers and volunteers) are not liable for any injury, bite, illness, death, property damage, vet or other costs, loss of data, loss of profit, or any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss arising from or connected with the Club, the books, the website, the forum, the AI assistant, member posts, or any advice or information in them, however caused and whatever the legal theory, even if we were told it might happen. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims together is limited to the amount you paid for your membership. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or your mandatory statutory consumer rights.
16. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and cover us against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by anyone else that arise from your posts, your breach of these terms, or how you handle your dog.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the Israeli courts have jurisdiction, without removing any mandatory consumer protection that applies where you live.
18. General
If any part of these terms is not enforceable, the rest stays in force and the part is limited to what the law allows. These terms are the whole agreement about the Club. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. Sections that by nature should continue after your membership ends do so.
19. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we will email you before they apply, and you can ask for a refund of the unused part if you do not accept them. Questions: support@calmontheleash.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
